Sharon, an Air Force veteran in our community, was facing homelessness. Today, she is safely housed in Santa Paula—settled into a neighborhood she loves, right across from a beautiful park.
Her transition wasn’t easy. When it came time to move, Sharon’s belongings were left on a pallet in a driveway, with no way to transport them. The Gold Coast Veterans Foundation’s Mobile Veterans Outreach Unit stepped in, making multiple trips to ensure everything was safely delivered to her new home.
And the support didn’t stop there. To help make her space livable and comfortable, GCVF provided a microwave and an air conditioning unit—essentials she didn’t have.
Stories like Sharon’s are a powerful reminder of why this work matters—and how the right support at the right time can change everything.
