During a summer outreach visit, GCVF met a veteran living outside a Trader Joe's with his dog, trying to escape the extreme heat. As we got to know him, we learned he was living with the lasting effects of a stroke and needed support navigating his next steps.
Our team connected him with Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF), provided temporary hotel lodging, and worked alongside him to create a plan for long-term stability.
While every veteran's journey is different, our commitment remains the same: to meet veterans where they are, listen with compassion, and help them access the resources they need. We're ensuring that no veteran has to face life's challenges alone.
