Hope Beyond the Riverbottom
When 26-year Navy veteran Jack was referred to Gold Coast Veterans Foundation through a partnership with Ventura County Behavioral Health and the Ventura Police Department, he had been experiencing homelessness for more than a year. He was living in a riverbottom encampment that was scheduled to close, leaving him with nowhere safe to go.
Through GCVF's outreach, Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF), personalized case management, and housing navigation, Jack was connected to the resources and support he needed to begin rebuilding his life. Today, Jack is living in a home of his own and continuing to move forward with confidence and stability.
