The right piece of equipment can give veterans the independence they deserve. When a social worker at Oxnard Family Circle Adult Day Health Care Center, reached out about Army veteran Mitch, she shared that his wheelchair was becoming worn and increasingly difficult for him to use.

Our team had several wheelchairs with individual issues, so we combined the best components to create one fully functioning chair. We added a seat cushion and brought it directly to Mitch. Mitch arrived in his old wheelchair, which had a taped armrest and sagging seat. After transferring into the new chair, he immediately noticed the difference. Getting in and out was easier, and he told us it “better suited his needs.”
