Charles and his mother, Jean, arrived in Ventura County after losing everything in a devastating flood. As a veteran, Charles was referred to GCVF for assistance. Within a week, GCVF and the Salvation Army arranged a housing showing. The moment they stepped inside, Charles and his mom felt it was home - safe, comfortable, and the stability they desperately sought.

Through strong partnerships with local organizations, the family received furniture and essential household items for moving in. Today, Charles is working full-time in a new career, and Jean is safe, settled, and secure. With the support of trusted nonprofit partners and GCVF’s unwavering commitment to provide for our veterans, Charles and Jean are embracing a fresh start.
