Public Housing Program Waitlist To Open Sept. 12, 2017 to Sept. 26, 2017

The Area Housing Authority (AHA) of the County of Ventura opened its Public Housing Program Waitlist on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. This waitlist will only be open until September 26, 2017.

Although it is a waitlist, the AHA will give priority to veterans and their families, provided the veteran is honorably discharged. More information is below in the official press release:


Very low income households are invited to submit a pre-application for the Public Housing Program waitlist. Applications will be accepted from Sept. 12 through Sept. 26, 2017.

All Applications must be MAILED to the Area Housing Authority. 
Applications that are e-mailed, faxed or hand delivered will be rejected.

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, pre-applications will be available during normal business hours at the AHA office at 1400 W. Hillcrest Drive, Newbury Park and available to download from the AHA website at AHA is open Monday – Thursday from 7am to 5pm. A limited number of applications will also be available at the following locations:

Camarillo City Hall, 601 Carmen Dr
County of Ventura Human Services Agency, 855 Partridge Drive,
Ventura Fillmore City Hall, 250 Central Ave
Moorpark City Hall, 799 Moorpark Ave
Ojai City Hall, 401 S. Ventura St
Simi Valley City Hall, 2929 Tapo Canyon Rd
Simi Valley Environmental Svcs. Dpt. 3855-A Alamo St.
Thousand Oaks City Hall, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd

Completed pre-applications must be mailed to the AHA main office and postmarked no later than Sept. 26, 2017. Incomplete and duplicate applications will not be accepted. Applications that are e-mailed, faxed or hand delivered will be rejected. Date and time the application is received by the AHA along with agency preferences will determine your placement on the waitlist.
