Readjustment Counseling Service

Every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Counselor from the Ventura Vet Center provides post-war readjustment counseling and outreach services to all veterans who served in any combat zone and their families

Oxnard Family Circle is a significant community-based adult day health care program that offers many services for Veterans. This includes a dedicated Veterans room and numerous socialization opportunities and events with fellow veterans.

Military Appreciation Month; Resources for Veterans

This state-of-the-art clinic in Thousand Oaks provides dental care, among their many services, to qualifying veterans and their families free of charge.

Camarillo Health Care District

Camarillo Health Care District provides state-certified caregiver training for those ensuring the day-to-day needs of their veteran loved one.

This year’s Wings Over Camarillo commemorates the 75th anniversary of D-Day with a WWII D-Day Pyrotechnics Presentation.

There is a discount code available for veterans who wish to purchase tickets. For that discount code, please provide your proof of veteran status (DD214, VA card, drivers license with the “Veteran” designation on it, etc.) in an email to our Veterans Connection office at info@gcvf.org.

Interface and Ventura County 211

Interface Children and Family Services, who operates the 2-1-1 information and referral service for Ventura County, will ensure the following:

  • A veteran or family member of a veteran in need will be more efficiently routed to agencies most suited to address his/her direct needs.
  • When our Veterans Connection office is closed, a veteran, family member, or any advocate for a veteran in his/her life can receive after-hours assistance.


Mikey Simpson, Army Veteran

The Ventura County Continuum of Care Alliance is a collaborative group
dedicated to promoting a safe, desirable and thriving community
by ending homelessness in Ventura County.

Salvation Army operates our area’s Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program. SSVF promotes housing stability for homeless veterans, veterans at risk of being homeless, and veterans in transitional housing.

Turning Point Foundation operates transitional housing for veterans. While veterans are in their transitional housing, Turning Point Foundation works with them to help them get back on their feet to a position where they can transition into more permanent housing.

This free orientation of veterans services includes information about the following:

  • Employment and training programs through America’s Job Center
  • Counseling and rehabilitation to get back to work and civilian life
  • Information on the GI Bill and VA medical benefits
Jobs for Veterans

Goodwill’s Operation: GoodJobs program, which is funded by the Walmart Foundation, connects veterans and their families with free career services that are integrated with family and financial strengthening services.

The California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) provides services and tools, along with guidance and support, that can empower those living with disabilities to be productive employees and community members.
