Gold Coast Veterans Foundation Awarded $12,000 by the Disabled Veterans National Foundation
Gold Coast Veterans Foundation in Camarillo has been awarded a $12,000 “force multiplier” grant to provide advanced training for GCVF’s Board of Directors in high-level fundraising by the Disabled Veterans National Foundation.
“Our Board members hold executive positions at big companies in this area; many of us are in an ideal position to approach major donors & corporations directly…” says Board Chairman Dennis Murphy.
The former submarine commander, now VP of Business Performance at biotechnology giant Amgen, understands the value of advanced training for specialized purposes; “This training will empower us to make the very best use of our positions in the corporate world to increase charitable funding exponentially. Every dollar of that funding will go directly toward providing critical services to veterans in Ventura County.”
