Free Flu Shots for Veterans

For all veterans who are enrolled in the VA healthcare system, you may now visit your local in-network pharmacy or urgent care location to receive your no-cost influenza vaccine. No appointment or VA referral is required to receive your flu shot.

If you are not enrolled in the VA healthcare, please click the button directly below. That button will take you to the VA website to apply for VA healthcare. You will need to bring one of the following with you when you get your flu shot: VA card, driver’s license, DoD ID card, or other government-issued ID.

You will also need the VA’s official “Flu Shot Information” flyer when you get your flu shot. Click the button below to access this PDF flyer, which you may print or show on your mobile device.

Please click the button below to locate an in-network pharmacy or urgent care facility to receive your free flu shot. Here are the steps to make best use of the in-network facility finder:

  1. Type in your home city.
  2. Under “Facility type,” select either “Community providers (in VA’s network)” or “Community pharmacies (in VA’s network)” from the drop-down menu.
  3. If you select “Community providers (in VA’s network),” in the “Service type” box, type “Clinic/Center – Urgent Care” in the box and select it.
  4. A list of locations will appear next to the map.
